The turtle rubs against the bottom of the boat nearly upsetting it. Signed at the waterline "B. Tudor." One of 19 watercolor illustrations that Bethany Tudor painted for her own story about 4 little Steiff animals and their adventures in a found sailboat at Skiddycock Pond. A large snapping turtle lives in the pond and is the "heavy" of the story. This piece has been the property of Bethany Tudor from the day it was created.
