116 page catalog with full color photographs, no Tudor paintings. Prepared for the disposal sale of Tasha Tudor's lifetime collection of costumes. 441 numbered lots. "A note of thanks..." appears on page 115 acknowledging a number of people who assisted in preparing the collection for auction. It is signed in facsimile: Christine Whitaker, Charles Whitaker, Bob Ross and Karen Augusta. Catalogs were issued with separate enclosures: a small corrections card, a letter from the auction house, a phone bid sheet, and a separate absentee bid sheet, and a postal card needed to reserve a 2 hour time slot for viewing the exhibiton on November 10. In addition to color illustrations on most pages, there are 48 "swatch" samples of the printed fabrics spread across pages 1, 6 and 116. Some Richard Brown photographs are included showing Tasha Tudor wearing various of the 19th century dresses. "Admission to the Sunday sale will be by catalogue only. No lots from the collection will be on view sale day..." Neither statement proved to be true! The turnout was underwhelming, as were the bid prices.
