Bethany Tudor. New York: Oxford Univ. Press, 1942. 1st edition.
There is some spotting to the front cover; the spine is darkened; the back retains most of the original brightness. The interior is clean, and tight with the expected glue staining of paper in the binding of this 77-year-old war-time book. A Very Good copy.
The book is in its original dust jacket which has more staining from handling and darkening of age than the book. The dust jacket is whole and in Good condition. There are cracks to the spine, but the paper has not separated. There is an inch and a half tear at the top front edge.
The book was previously the property of a Tudor friend and collector Elaine Hollabaugh, Rogers City, MI, who also published a regular Tasha Tudor newsletter in the 1980s. The book has a penciled coding of unknown origin on the front free endpaper, 1581 | HS. Tasha Tudor inscribed the front free endpaper to Hollabaugh's granddaughter: "To a very special Emily! Tasha Tudor 1991"
