Tasha Tudor. New York: Thomas Y. Crowell, 1971. 1st edition, 2nd printing. 8.5" x 10 5/8"
pp. A beautiful copy of this early printing. The real beauty of this copy is Tudor's inscription to Colin Mathers, son of her business partner, 1988-1994. Upper right quarter of the front free endpaper in black marker - image of a corgi, axe in hand, cutting down a fir tree for Christmas. Sketch of 2 hills and 2 trees in the background; sled and unidentifiable object in the foreground above the inscription.
Bound in white paper, with the very light filaments in the paper cover. The paper overlaps the blue spine cloth, stamped in black. The dj is price clipped, which is normal with this printing. The dust jacket has lightest sunning to the spine, shadow of missing price sticker from the upper right front. Two closed tears: 1" at lower left front and 1 1/2" at upper right back; tiny chips at top and bottom of spine.
