SILVER TEA BALL

A tea ball on chain resembling a censer. The body is embossed into an 8-paneled urn ending in a point. The panels continue into the lid and end at the top center where a ring is welded to accept the hanger chain. It appears that the item was once dropped leaving a small indention beneath this ring. The lid is hinged to the body and is held shut by friction. The 5" chain ends in a 7/8" thin wire ring. Rim of cap is marked STERLING, and with 3 hallmarks - R - IS - Co. Decorative punch marks repeated on each of the 8 panels.
