SILVER TEA BALL

1 5/8" round.

A tea ball on chain resembling a mustard pot. The body is punched in 9 cascading falls of small holes ending in a ring of these holes at the bottom. The hinged lid has no punches. A ring is welded to accept to the center of the lid; which also has a small ring hasp to lock over a post of the body. The 5 1/4" hanger chain (laid links) runs to a half inch ring. The thin body has several small dents. Rim of the cap is marked STERLING, and with hallmark which looks like W wound on a rod.
